The Queen of Versailles

The Queen of Versailles is an independent documentary film directed by Lauren Greenfield, which premiered at Sundance 2012 winning the Best Directing Award. The Queen of Versailles is a character-driven documentary about a billionaire family and their financial challenges in the wake of the economic crisis. With epic proportions of Shakespearean tragedy, the film follows two unique characters, whose rags-to-riches success stories reveal the innate virtues and flaws of the American Dream.

As associate producer (2010-2011), I worked with The Queen of Versailles team to:

Write and submit grants to fundraise for film production.

Manage international festival screenings from submissions to screenings. International film screenings include Sundance (London), IDFA (Amsterdam) and Brisbane International Film Festival.

Design proposal to seek investors and creative crew members.

Track the production budget throughout the three-year filming and editing.
